Getting new innovations and technology to the market is a challenge for the alone entrepreneur as well as for a large multinational corporation. What works in the testing lab or workshop might not work where the external factors of climate, related technology or personal preferences might stand in the way of success for even the most revolting invention.

Therefore, the energy agency is funding this three-year project to mitigate the challenge and to support actors within the energy sector pushing new ideas to the market.

The main goals of the project are to:

• Strengthening the collaboration and network of stakeholders in the region
• Increasing the commercialization rate of innovations contributing to reach our energy and climate goals.

The initiative is not restricted to any industry but is relevant for all companies innovating products or services that contribute to the energy and climate goals.

All in all, there are six constellations of actors across Sweden dedicated to carry out the mission. The northern constellation that goes under the name Northern Energy Innovation Launch (NEIL) is a collaboration between Skellefteå Science City, LTU Business, Piteå Science Park and Arctic Business. 

Some of the questions we hope to explore together with you are:

• How to scale up my small business?
• From where and how can I get an investment in my company or my idea?
• How can I raise awareness and develop my product in a certain market?
• How can my company tap in to that innovative and creative spirit of a startup and collaborate with complementary actors in the market?

We are looking forward to interesting events, meetups and workshops where we can learn and share our knowledge together with you. Hopefully we will be able to arrange some physical meets but there will also be digital alternatives.
