Electromagnetic compatibility – Open Area Test Site in Skellefteå
Welcome to learn more about electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in electric aviation and other fields. EMC is an important piece of the puzzle to enable electrification of the transport sector, allowing new electrified technologies to co-exist and function in relation to other new and old equipment.
This seminar will discuss an investigation of the possibility to set up an EMC Open Area Test Site (OATS) at Skellefteå Airport to determine EMC in a live setting with operating vehicles. Testing will be possible for electric aircraft, eVTOLs and drones as well as for other large equipment or vehicles such as cars, trucks, energy storages and associated charging equipment.
Join us on this day to learn about our findings - we have deep dived into both the regulatory complexities regarding EMC and commercial needs for tests in the electric aviation field. Also, take the chance to meet and listen to Green Flight academy, a flight training organization with sustainability in focus, operating multiple electric training aircraft at Skellefteå airport.

Efter ett varumärkesarbete byter kontors- och innovationsmiljöerna på Campusområdet namn till Skellefteå Innovation Park och Skellefteå Game Park.
