As a newcomer - Understand the healthcare system

Innovation

11 Dec 2024

We all struggle to understand and to have focus on the customer or end-user. Welcome to an intimate and developing conversation where we together explore the Swedish healthcare system from a newcomer's perspective. For 45 minutes, we gather to share experiences, knowledge and insights on how to best understand the customer needs and in this example navigate the Swedish healthcare system.

Method
A conversation leader from Skellefteå Science City will use the proven method ”campfire conversation (Lägereldssamtal)”, where all participants’ voices and perspectives are valuable contributions to our common understanding. As a mental model we will guide the dialogue on the framework customer journey mapping.

Goal and purpose
The purpose of this campfire conversation is to create a safe environment where we can share our experiences and together find ways to a better understanding of customer journey mapping and the Swedish healthcare system. By sharing concrete examples and tips, we can help each other become more confident in how to understand and map the newcomers needs and the encounter with the healthcare system.

The goal is to together create better conditions for effective communication to residents of Skellefteå who have moved here from other countries and learn more about customer journey mapping. This is a first meeting on the subject and a workshop will be organized later in January, stay tuned!

For whom?
This conversation is aimed at you who are:

  • A resident in Skellefteå from another country
  • to you who meet new arrivals in your work or everyday life.
  • to you that wants to learn more about customer journey mapping
  • Or to those of you who want to be involved and contribute to a better healthcare system
